Fiberglass tent poles

In free standing or dome types of tents, the strength of the structure can be determined by the sturdiness of the supporting poles. Fiberglass tent poles are now the conventional foundations being used by outdoorsmen. These tent poles vary in diameter sizes and length. They are connected by inserting one end of a pole to a metal pocket on the other end of another pole.
All poles are then attached with an elastic band so that all of them are held together in place. Bigger tents require bigger and longer poles to accommodate the weight of the tent. The quality of the fiber glass poles can be determined by exposing the tent in strong winds and storm. Good quality poles should be able to withstand strong winds and heavy rains without breaking.
