One of the top characteristics of a good tent is its ability to stand extreme weathers. No wonder why dome tents are preferred by many because its shape is best in windy conditions. They consist of geometric flexible poles that form their shape. These poles also open up the tents’ interior space. They are well known to be best for recreational camping.

There are two types of dome tents:

1.) Half-dome tents – can accommodate 2 people; consist of two or more hoops joined at the center and facing different directions
2.) Tunnel-dome tents – very spacious and good for family camping; combination of tunnel and dome styles; tunnel serves as a porch or sleeping area
