The first thing you should do when going on a hiking trip is to make sure that you have all the necessary hiking equipment. You should have a list of all the items that you will need for the whole trip. Navigation devices, solar panels, binoculars, knives, and tool kits are only some of the things that you will need.

Always make sure that you have a navigation device. A compass to the more sophisticated GPS is a must. Walkie-talkies or short wave radios are also important so you can always be in touch with the forest rangers so you can be updated with every possible weather changes and dangers that may come your way. You should also have portable solar panels to make sure that all your electronic gizmos are charged and ready to use. Lights or lanterns are important too.
