How do you plan your first ever camping trip with your family? First you have to choose your campsite and this will depend on a few things. You have to determine the activities that you plan to do. Camping with children will be a lot different from camping with adults. You also need to take stock of the kind of help that you will be getting. If you are camping with small children, you cannot expect much help as far as pitching tent and setting up a cooking zone goes. You might be better off booking in a site that has a travel lodge with facilities such as comfortable sleeping quarters, bathroom facilities and shops where food is available.
On your first try, it will do good to find a site that is not too far away so that the children’s excitement will not be doused by the long road travel. Ask around from friends who are experienced campers. They will certainly have a few places to recommend. You can also checkout camping sites through the internet. You can contact these camping resorts and ask questions that are not covered by information in their web sites.
