SUV tent

Have you ever tried camping outdoors on regular tents? It’s not exactly a very comfortable experience, is it? When your tents are staked on hard ground, sleeping can be quite unpleasant. One great alternative, especially if you have an SUV or sports utility vehicle is to get an SUV tent. SUV tents greatly improve your camping experience.

These tents are designed to specifically to fit at the back of your SUV. They can also serve as stand-alone tents. However, if you prefer not to use up a gasoline generator to power up some of your camping equipment, you can use your SUV’s battery to power them instead. Set up and clean up is made easier too. Using an SUV tent also eliminates the need to worry about leaving your car in the camp parking lot.

Sleeping bags are essential gear in any camping trip. High Peak sleeping bags are designed to insulate hikers and campers comfortably even under cold temperatures. The materials are very strong and flexible and can conform to any sleeping position. There are also models with built-in hoods to keep your head warm and comfortable although they will take up more space in your backpack.

There are two types of sleeping bags. The down-filled sleeping bags are a lot warmer and heavier. They are best recommended for camping trips during cold seasons. The fiber-filled types, on the other hand, are more collapsible, cooler and lighter to carry and are ideal for warmer weather.

enamel coffee pot

My classmates and I had just passed our comprehensive exams and we wanted to celebrate. But first we wanted to thank our professor, who had checked our exams and gave us all good grades. We were thinking of what gift to give him… We all suddenly remembered that our professor liked coffee-no, make that, he loves coffee. Coffee probably runs in his veins instead of blood.

So we all got him just that. One bought and excellent brand of coffee beans. I picked up an enamel coffee pot, one that was portable enough for him to use at the office. Another classmate picked up coffee filters, and another bought wrapper that had coffee beans printed on it. It was a coffee gift from top to bottom.

camping gear

Make sure that you have a list before packing your camping gear. It will be a little hard to improvise on your equipment and supplies when you have forgotten an important item or two. A list will also ensure that you are not bringing more things that will not be necessary for the trip.

A tent and sleeping bags should be at the top of your list. Cooking equipment is usually next. Camping lanterns and flashlights are important as well. A good knife should be in your list too. First aid supplies are very important too since you could be miles away from the nearest clinic or hospital. Portable showers are great luxuries to have in the outdoors as well.
