When trying to decide on the kind of camping stove to bring to your next adventure, the choice of fuel is always a major consideration. Fuel supplies that are easy to transport are great when going to a long distance site. Fuel supplies that can be disconnected from camping stoves make life easier. They come in either liquid form or in canisters. A propane camping stove will be fueled by a compressed transportable liquid derived from petroleum products or natural gas.

Liquid forms of fuel are cheaper and are practical because they perform well in a wide range of conditions. Fuel in canisters heat up very fast but tend to be expensive. Disposal of the empty canisters can also be a problem. There are two things to remember about choosing the fuel to use with your camping stove. Be sure that your fuel is usable with your stove. And make sure that you have enough supply.
